- "Where To Go" CD Presentation,Jan/26th 08,Frieschepalen,Holland -

After a 2 1/2 hour drive we arrived @ "Ma Kelly's" round 11:00am. The "Hardcores" with Jan Martin,Eggie,Prostie,Timo etc were already there. May still there! We had some coffee, short "hello chats" there and left to the Hotel to check in and start to drive to the "Da Capo" Guitar & Musikstore."Woodedz" and the guys from "Quotation" should play there a small set.Not the baddest store we've seen, but no GIBSON to find in the whole shop!??Anyway!Nice performance of both bands.

Back at "Ma Kelly's" we were ready for soundcheck, but we had to wait a bit for it because "Quotation" hadn't finished theirs.Just found the time for very good friends like Susie & Dave! Later, round 7.00,we were on stage.Amps sounded pretty well and everything was done very fast.Because Herb's Australia holidays,Eike stepped in to play the Bass for him and he did it very well! Thanks for that, mate! He'isn't just a good Bass or Guitar player(in his own Band:DARK AGE),he also is a very good Producer as we heard with our new CD "Where To Go",which he has produced very well!

Showtime ...round 8.30(??)! Very familar feelin there on stage. With all these well known faces in front it's a pleasure to perform there! It's even more fun when you look into the "Backstage-Kitchen" and Rhino gives you a "thumps-up"! It was only a short set, because we didn't find more time to practice together with Eike, but we really enjoyed it as much as we can! Setlist was:

We Know

For A Ride

I Don't Mind

Wanted Man/On The Run

A LIttle Letter

Then it was time for "Woodedz"!Very rockin Set with a lot of familar songs in it,like "Belavista Man","Gravy Train","Bad News","Roll Over Beethoven","Paper Plane" for example!

After the Gig we've had some interested chats with everyone there Backstage. Mike Hrano,Mike Paxman,Freddie,Max and Rhino. After he bought a copy of "Where To Go", he came to every Railroad member and asked for to sign him the CD!Simply good feeling during that! He is a very good, honest guy as his sons Freddie & Max!No Egos! After that,Arne and Rhino had a short chat about the "Frantic Four",Alan Lancaster and especially about the Quosongs of today!;-) Thank you "Woodedz" for a great time and I guess we'll see each other soon!

Then after all these "Backstage" stories,"Quotation" entered the stage.A rockin Set of 2 1/2 hours classic Status Quo songs, like "That's A Fact","Mean Girl","I Saw The Light" to name a few!Simply an awesome Gig!

Next day back at "Ma Kelly's" to have a wonderful breakfast, done by "Eppie & Jolanda"! It's,everytime, really hard to say "Good Bye" again to the lovely "Frieschepalen bunch"! We hopefully see us in May,at the "Crossed Guitars Festival" for 4 days! Special " Thank you's " to:

Jan Martin,Arjen,Eppie,Jolanda,Quotation,Woodedz,Family Braun(for the car),the complete "Crossed Guitars Team"......

..and like everytime to all who came bout us ....
